Job Summary:
The Radio Traffic Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the radio traffic department, ensuring the smooth operation and execution of advertising campaigns, and maintaining accurate traffic logs for radio broadcasts. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the coordination and scheduling of radio advertising campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
2. Update and maintain traffic logs and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
3. Collaborate with sales and production teams to gather necessary information and materials for commercial spots.
4. Enter commercial orders into the traffic system accurately and efficiently.
5. Monitor and track commercial spot placement and ensure proper rotation and adherence to client specifications.
6. Communicate with clients, agencies, and internal departments to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues.
7. Provide administrative support to the traffic department, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
8. Assist in generating reports, analyzing data, and identifying trends to optimize commercial scheduling and revenue generation.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to radio traffic management.
10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional education in media, communications, or related field is a plus.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the broadcasting industry or media organization.
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precise entry and maintenance of traffic logs and records.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
6. Proficient computer skills, including experience with traffic management software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
7. Familiarity with radio traffic systems and tools (e.g., WideOrbit, Marketron) is highly desirable.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
9. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the aptitude to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or discrepancies efficiently.
10. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
